What is The Importance of Hydration While Fasting?
Hydration is crucial during fasting to prevent dehydration, which can lead to dizziness, headaches, and fatigue. It helps to stay alert and focused. Proper hydration also aids digestion, prevents constipation, and helps control appetite, making fasting more manageable and less uncomfortable.
Drinking water throughout the day can be boring, also as you are already fasting there should be some other alternative which can keep you full while sharing the same benefits as water. On that note, I have created a list of healthy and tasty Navratri drinks which are a good source of hydration.
I made sure these healthy Navratri special drinks are made easily and require minimal ingredients so that you don’t need to spend hours in the kitchen. Keep scrolling to know!
1. Fresh and Natural Juices
Juices are among the best ways to satisfy your body’s need for water while providing the associated health advantages of the fruit. Sipping a glass of fresh, pure, and natural juice made with premium seasonal fruits can do wonders for your body besides supporting the hydration level.
The nutrients present in the juice will keep you alert and also make you feel full due to the fibre amount thus making the fasting process easier too. I am sure a lot of you have to go for work, so grab a glass of 100% pure and healthy juices like OMJOOS to ensure you stay energised, focused, and spend the fasting day with a lot of ease.
2. Buttermilk or Chaas
Next in line for healthy Navratri special drinks is none other than- Buttermilk. It is because of the highly nutritious and hydrating properties of Buttermilk which makes it one of the best Navratri drinks. It also cools the body and supports the immune system. Just make sure to use rock salt instead of regular table salt and avoid all other ingredients that are not permitted when fasting.
Since I don’t get enough time to prepare buttermilk at home due to busy mornings, I prefer OMDAIRY A2 Gir Cow Buttermilk. It is traditionally prepared using the Bilona method under all the safety & hygiene standards. Do give it a try for an ultimate experience!

The addition of fibre, protein, and antioxidants rich chia makes it more nutritious. This unique blend will give you a fuller feeling of stomach thus you can pass the day with more comfort. You can also add lime juice to add the tanginess.

This drink also has lemon juice and mint leaves which makes it more refreshing, sweet, and tangy. However, this drink still needs to be consumed in moderation because jaggery is sweeter. Also, use cold water to make this drink more refreshing and soothing.
